Where Are My Photos Stored?

Updated October 9, 2026

InvitePix stores your photos and videos on servers in the United States. We work with Cloudflare, a trusted company with worldwide network of computers, so you and your guests can upload and open the gallery quickly, from nearly anywhere in the world.

A few more nerdy details:

How uploads process quickly around the world:

When a guest uploads a file their phone does not have to send a large file all the way to the USA. It connects to a nearby Cloudflare server first. That nearby server then carries the file securely to your gallery, saving the guest time.

A guest at a wedding in Mexico or in Germany all get a short route to your gallery. The file still arrives, more quickly, in the same US server.

How galleries load quickly:

Opening a gallery works the same way. The first time a photo is viewed in a part of the world it is fetched from the USA. Cloudflare then keeps a secure and private temporary copy of the photo on a nearby server. Your next guest in that area sees the photo without the long trip back to the USA to fetch it.

Those nearby copies of your photos and videos are for speed. They are not a second public gallery. Instead they are temporary and come and go as needed. The original gallery and all the photos and videos always stay in the USA, in your private gallery.

What this means for you:

Your photos live in the USA for the length of your hosting period. Guests around the world can still upload and view and interact with your gallery without waiting on a slow trip to a far-away server. Nearby copies of your files help to keep the gallery feeling snappy and quick. You can download your photos and videos anytime while your gallery is open.
